Every love story has a beginning, and for Laura and Giancarlo, it started with a musical spark. Laura initiated their first conversation, drawn by photos of Giancarlo playing the guitar. Curious, she asked if he played any other instruments. That simple question led to hours of conversation, culminating in their first date: a dinner in Montreal that neither of them would ever forget.

Fast-forward five years, and their bond has only grown stronger. Reflecting on their early days, Giancarlo shares, “Laura’s sweetness was something I recognized instantly.” For Laura, it was Giancarlo’s loyalty and dedication that made her realize she’d found someone truly special.

A Proposal to Remember

In May 2023, Giancarlo planned a thoughtful proposal in front of The Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC. Disguised as a birthday dinner, he surprised Laura with a romantic evening.

After dinner, they walked to the hotel’s front steps, where Giancarlo proposed with a family heirloom ring.

In Laura’s words, “It was like a fairytale!”
