Last summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Rowan and Brandon’s wedding at The Cove at Otter Point, a beautiful and intimate private property on Vancouver Island. Their celebration was a perfect example of how small weddings can be just as meaningful and memorable as grand affairs. With less than 20 guests, they kept things casual but heartfelt, creating an atmosphere full of love and joy. Rowan and Brandon even prepared their own BBQ dinner, making the day feel relaxed. For their wedding photos, we ventured to nearby Gordon’s Beach, which I would highly recommend to anyone considering The Cove at Otter Point as their wedding venue!

Rowan and Brandon’s love story began online and they had their first kiss during an impromptu sleepover at Brandon’s family caravan. Together for over four years now, their bond has grown stronger through frequent walks, movie nights, and quiet moments spent cuddling. Brandon proposed to Rowan in April 2022 at Tigh-Na-Mara, overlooking the ocean after a spa day with Rowan’s sister. Their connection is grounded in how they bring out the best in one another: Rowan cherishes Brandon’s care and support, while Brandon loves how Rowan inspires him to be a better man.

The Cove at Otter Point is not only a picturesque wedding venue but also an Airbnb property, making it ideal for a weekend-long celebration. Its affordability and intimate setting make it perfect for couples planning a smaller, budget-friendly wedding. Whether you’re drawn to the idea of casual BBQ dinners or stunning beachside photos, this venue offers everything you need for a memorable and meaningful wedding day ❤️
